definition of lines used in photography

The definition of lines in the dictionary is: A narrow mark; indented mark or wrinkle; boundary or limit; edge or contour of a shape; string or wire for a particular use; telephone connection; wire or cable for transmitting electricity; shipping company; railway track; course or direction of movement; prescribed way of thinking; field of interest or activity; row or queue of people; glass of goods; row of words.

describing words:
  • straight
  • thick
  • thin
  • long
  • short
  • wavy
  • bumby
  • curved
This image shows lines through the marks on the floor. The lines are converging parallel because they seem to get smaller as they get further away.

This image shows lines the same as the first photo, they rare lines on the floor. These lines are straight lines. The lines at the start of the image are in focus and the others are not.

Another image showing converging parallel lines. The train track seems to be getting smaller and smaller as its getting further away from the eye.
This image shows wavy lines within the sand. The lines lead your eye to the buildings in the background of the photo.

My definition of lines is: something that meats two points. A line can be shown in many different ways. For example: straight, wavy, bumpy, thick, thin, ect.
