depth

Depth used in photography.

In this photograph it shows depth from the way the photo is taken at a angle. The strings seem to be getting smaller as they get further away from you. This angle also makes the strings look like they never end because they seem to go on forever.

This same angle is shown in this photo of the trees, the tree trunks are getting smaller and smaller when they get further away from you. This is called converging parallel. The trees at the start of the photo are seen to be in focus and then get less in focus as they get further away.

From this image you can see that the pathway is also getting smaller when further away. However this image is taken from a centre angle rather than a corner angle.

The photograph is a good example of converging parallel because the train track lines get thinker as they get further away. It makes the train track look as if it goes on forever.

This image of the coke cans had been taken from the corner to show that the cans are getting smaller as they go alone. The same as many of these images the objects at the start of the picture are shown in focus and the others are not.
