lines
In the photo of the beach the lines are used to lead your eye to the sea. The lines being used in this way make the sea seem further away. The lines are think and straight, they are placed one after another and get smaller as they get closer to the sea and further away from the eye. This is called converging parallel. The same lines are used in the photograph of the tunnel as the lines make your eye follow to the end.
The lines in the picture of the forest are from the detail in the tree that form a circle shape around the tree. These lines split the trees into different sections. There is also another type of line used in this picture which is the actual tree itself. These lines are shown in a vertical/upwards direction. The lines captured in the photo of the red fence are also vertical, both photographs lead your eye to follow the lines upwards.
This photograph shows horizontal lines which leads your eye across the photo. In this case the lines lead you to a certain object, the window shutters. This makes the shutters the main focus of the photograph.
The lines used in this image are in the form of an escalator. They make your eyes follow up the stairs, getting smaller and smaller as they get further away. These lines are called converging parallel.
