Tone:
During this lesson I had to take pictures showing the different types of tones used in photography. I did this by taking pictures of buildings, flowers, flooring, stairs and different objects next to each other. After this i then had to edit my photos into black and white. This then helps to show the different tones because when taking the photos in colour you can not see the different tones.
If I was going to take more pictures of tone I would get more variety because when I changed my images into black and white not all of them were clear examples of different tones, they looked the same colour. Therefore if I had more photos i would hopefully get a better outcome and a bigger range to choose the best ones.
I think the best photograph to show tone is the brick wall with the walking banister against it. This is because I feel that it shows the different tones between the colour of the wall and then the banister. I think this image would be clear enough for someone to look at and then understand what tone is when used in photography. If i would take this image again i would try to get more of the banister in the picture.
Another photo I have taken to show tone was a picture of a flower. I really like this image. However the angle i took the picture from was not very good and therefore i included the building in the background and not much of the leafs so it doesn't show clear enough tone. I would take this photography from a higher angle next time.
